Lifelong anemic here, mostly untreated. A few Dr.'s along the way suggested iron supplements w/Vit C, but I had the typical constipation side effect, and my numbers didn't move at all, so they would eventually drop it...and then he wanted me to try iron infusions.

I have a few other issues that would be negatively impacted by the iron infusions, so I decided to do some Googling, and I came across this site. Came back to it a few times, feeling like it was too good to be true. Doctors and science are the experts, who am I to go against that education and experience? Still, I kept coming back, and finally decided to give this a shot. I ordered a 6 month supply, and the next day at my Doctor appt, I told him my plan. He agreed, and set up testing just under the 3 month mark. If this didn't work, then he would refer me to a hematologist for IV iron infusions. That seemed fair.

Well, guess what? I just got my test results back, and it really does work! Ferritin went from 5 to 37! Iron supplements are working for the first time in my life!

I've been anemic for the majority of my adult life. I started taking iron repair when my symptoms were at their peak and hemoglobin the lowest I've ever seen. I had headaches, double vision, hopeless fatigue, panicky anxiety and just thought that was what my life would be like.

I was suffering from very low iron. Since my teen years my iron levels have been low, and I've tried so many different supplements over the years, none of them seemed to work for me. They either made me sick to my stomach, gave me severe constipation, or just plain did not work. My Ferritin levels were at 11 and in the next 10 days it had dropped to 5.
